From the QGRC CEO
It’s been years in the making but now Ipswich has a $90M sport and entertainment facility on its doorstep.
Future development will see a Veterinary Clinic being added to the site and the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club’s business mix.
The Club was formed by the amalgamation of the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club and the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club. Both Clubs have given up their spiritual homes at Albion Park and the Ipswich Showgrounds to move to Purga and the new home of greyhound racing in Queensland.
There is a growing number of people that think the facility is possibly the best in the world says current greyhound boss Jason Scott, I think they might be right he says.
While Greyhound Racing will always be at the core of the Club’s existence, it’s the community club business that has the focus of the Board and Management team. Greyhound Racing can largely run itself but it’s the community club that requires focus and know-how to ensure visitors to the club have a great experience and want to return time and time again, says Scott. For the team at the Q, it’s all about an awesome customer experience and they are fully committed to this.
